Getting Around on Fripp
Golf carts, scooters, mopeds and bikes are great ways to get around on Fripp Island.
Golf Carts
- Only licensed drivers may operate golf carts.
- Drivers are subject to all state and Fripp motor vehicle regulations.
- Golf carts and low-speed vehicles brought to Fripp by non-property owners must pay a $100 annual registration fee and show proof of insurance within 24 hours of arrival.
- Golf carts and other modes of transportation rentals are available at the resort. Visit Fripp Island Carts Website.

Bikes, Mopeds & Scooters
- There are miles of bike and walking paths on Fripp Island. Enjoy them!
- High-speed biking should be done on roads.
- Drivers and passengers (under 21) of mopeds or scooters must wear helmets.
Automobiles
- Please observe all posted parking regulations. Do not block driveways, roadways or bicycle paths.
- Motor vehicles are not allowed on the beach or bike paths.
Fines for infractions of traffic rules – $25 to $300 with extra charges for impound when necessary
