Welcome to Fripp

Welcome to Fripp

Dear Visitors;

Welcome to Fripp Island! To help you and your family enjoy your time here, we have addressed and implemented safety protocols for the community and on the beach.

The FIPOA office will be open with limited access. To keep in accordance with social distancing, and in light of the rising cases of Covid-19, there will be no more than 3 people allowed into the POA office at one time. Masks are required and maintaining the required 6 feet a part is still in effect for all buildings, per the Beaufort County Ordinance Mandate. Masks are highly recommended by the CDC for the beach. To view other recommendations by the CDC for the beach, please click Here.

Please help the Fripp Island Security and Fripp Island Property Owners Association in protecting all of our residents, especially the elderly and sick, who are most vulnerable.

If you are visiting for the first time, this is a very special place. 3½ miles of Atlantic beaches and a beautiful Sea Islands location near Beaufort and Hilton Head make this South Carolina island the ideal destination for families. Our 3,000-acre gated community – is a designated wildlife sanctuary that combines scenic coastal nature and private beach access with an appealing array of real estate options, resort services, and recreational amenities. Located 21 miles from the city of Beaufort, our island is just close enough to major services and amenities but secluded enough that it feels like its own private world, and in a way, it is.

Fripp Island is the perfect retreat for a family that enjoys biking, kayaking, restful excursions to the beach, and nature walks. Our unspoiled Atlantic beaches are a nesting area for the loggerhead turtles. The on-site marina provides direct access to superb boating and fishing among South Carolina Lowcountry’s barrier islands. Once you travel over the bridge onto our private community, you will see why many call us a paradise.

We are proud to have more than 1,600 full-time and part-time property owners whose houses dot the landscape. We all have one thing in common; we love this place. Once you arrive, you know what lies ahead – a place to leave your worries behind, a place to relax and unwind, a place for fun, friendships, and family memories. This is Fripp.
