GETTING AROUND FRIPP
Golf carts, scooters, mopeds & bikes are great ways to get around. There are miles of bike/walking paths on Fripp Island. Please use them. High-speed bike riding should be done on the roads.
Drivers and passengers (under 21) of mopeds or scooters must wear helmets. Keep in mind only licensed drivers may operate golf carts.
Please park in the designated area.
Drivers are subject to all State & Fripp motor vehicle regulations. Please observe all posted parking regulations. Do not block driveways, roadways, or bicycle paths. Motor vehicles are not allowed on the beach or bike paths.
ATVs, Segways and Motorized Skateboards cannot be driven on Fripp Island. Hoverboards may only be operated on private property. Recreational Vehicles (RV’s) are permitted to load and unload only.
Golf Carts and Low-Speed Vehicles, brought to Fripp Island by non-property owners, must pay a $50.00 registration fee and show proof of insurance within 24 hours of arrival.
Fines for Infractions of Traffic Rules - $25-$500 with extra charges for impound when necessary.
A valid driver’s license is required to operate a golf cart on Fripp Island. Learner’s permit is allowed only if accompanied by a licensed individual 21 years of age or older. Golf cart curfew is 12:00 AM to 5:00 AM for anyone under 21 years of age.
All minors, under the age of 18, shall be off common property between 12:00 AM and 5:00 AM unless accompanied by their parent or guardian. Parent or guardian will be held responsible for minors in violation. CARELESS OPERATION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE INCLUDING A GOLF CART WILL RESULT IN A $200 FINE.
PARKING ON FRIPP
Handicap Access is available at Beach Access 15 on Rock Beauty Road. There is dedicated handicapped parking and a level sand path. Visitors need to go to the security office at 225 Tarpon Blvd. to register for a handicap sticker to park at Rock Beauty.
Please be aware of the parking signs that designate whether it is Golf Carts only, or Golf Cart and Regular Vehicle Parking.
